Property: White powderor granular with a density of 2.484 at 20°C. It dissolves readily in water but not in organic solutions. This compound is hygroscopic, absorbing moisture from the air and becoming sticky upon such absorption. It forms complexes with metallic ions such as Ca, Ba, Mg, Cu, and Fe, making it an excellent agent for water treatment applications.
