Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate 

Product Description

Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate TSPP

White powder, specific gravity 2.534, melting point 880 ºC.

Soluble in water, its aqueous solution is alkaline. It can form complex with alkaline earth metal salt. Soluble in acid, insoluble in alcohol and ammonia. The aqueous solution is stable below 70 ºC and hydrolyzed to disodium hydrogen phosphate after boiling.

After weathering in dry air, crystal water is lost at 100 ºC. It is easy to absorb moisture and deliquescence in the air.

Product Application

1. Used in the electroplating industry to prepare electroplating solutions, which can form complexes with iron;
2. Used as rust remover in mechanical processing;
3. Used as wool degreasing agent and bleaching agent in wool spinning industry;
4. Used in the papermaking industry for bleaching paper and plant fibers;
5. In the printing and dyeing industry, it is used as an additive in printing, dyeing and fine bleaching;
6. Used to synthesize detergents and produce shampoo and other products;
7. Used as a toothpaste additive in the daily chemical industry, it can form a colloid with calcium hydrogen phosphate and have a stabilizing effect;
8. Used as dispersant and emulsifier in chemical production;
9. Used as water softener, boiler descaler, oil drilling, etc. in water treatment;
10. It is a raw material for the production of other pyrophosphates.



In total,TSPP is used as detergent, medicine, toothpaste stabilizer, water softener, boiler scale remover, metal ion chelating agent, oil well mud regulator, and used for electroplating, electrolysis, plant fiber bleaching, wool degreasing and so on.
